DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN DUBLIN, IRELAND
Welcome to Ireland! You will be met in the arrivals hall by your private driver and transferred to your Dublin hotel.
DAY 2 – ARRIVE DUBLIN – AFTERNOON SIGHTSEEING
Spend the morning relaxing or exploring this vibrant, friendly city. Meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers this afternoon and see Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Phoenix Park and the stately Georgian Squares with your Local Specialist. Board your canal boat for a leisurely cruise along Dublin’s 200 year old Grand Canal. Get to know your companions and Travel Director at an on-board Welcome Reception which includes a light evening meal and drinks.
DAY 3 – DUBLIN – CO. WICKLOW – NEW ROSS – WATERFORD
Travel through the lush countryside of County Wicklow – known as the Garden of Ireland. Then on through County Wexford before arriving in the town of New Ross. See the monument to John F. Kennedy who visited his ancestral family hometown in 1963. Visit the three-masted famine ship Dunbrody, and gain a Cultural Insight into the tragic plight of Irish emigration during the 1800’s. This afternoon, visit the House of Waterford Crystal for a Cultural Insight demonstration. Watch the master craftsmen at work during your tour of the workshop, and see the exquisite completed pieces in the showroom. Dine tonight at your hotel.
DAY 4 – DAY 4: WATERFORD – YOUGHAL – BLARNEY – KILLARNEY (2 NIGHTS)
Travel to Waterford to take in the sights of this Viking city before visiting the House of Waterford Crystal. Later, why not head out to the dramatic Hook Peninsula in County Wexford? Visit Hook Lighthouse, perhaps the oldest in the world and climb the 115 steps to the top level.
DAY 5 – RING OF KERRY EXCURSION
Today we experience Ireland’s most scenic coastal drive around the Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the ‘Ring of Kerry’. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical and varied places in the whole of Ireland and is truly a photographers delight. We will also see Daniel O’Connell’s Cahirciveen, the fishing village of Waterville, the Black Valley and Moll’s Gap. Here mountains, valleys, lakes and sea blend into a landscape that is often breathtaking beyond words.
DAY 6 – RING OF KERRY EXCURSION
This morning head out to the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better create your own itinerary known as the “Ring of Kerry.” One of the most magical places in all of Ireland, take in views of the famous “forty shades of green” as you travel the winding road.
DAY 7 – LIMERICK – GALWAY – DUBLIN
This morning, head north to Galway. View the Cathedral and enjoy some free time in the city. Join your companions and Travel Director this evening for a Be My Guest Farewell Dinner, before continuing to your Dublin hotel.
DAY 8 – DUBLIN – RETURN HOME
Say goodbye after your unforgettable journey through the friendly Emerald Isle! Airport transfers are available. Conditions apply.
