Accommodations are in the beautifully appointed Carambola Golf Villas overlooking the rolling fairways of the Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf course. Decades ago members of the Rockefeller family went on a search for a special parcel of land. Money was of little concern, but value was critical. They chose the property known today as Carmbola, the largest privately owned parcel of land in the island of St. Croix, in the U. S. Virgin Islands, just 20 minutes from the airport.

In addition to the Terrace Bar and Restaurant located at the Golf Club, the Golf Villas offer tennis courts, and 4 refreshing pools. Enjoy the beach and 3 more restaurants located just “over the hill” at the Carambola Beach Hotel.

Golf Courses with our US Virgin Islands Tour include; Carambola on St. Croix, Mahogany Run on St. Thomas, and Cap Juluca on Anguila.

Carambola, St. Croix, The par-72 Carambola golf course was built by Laurence Rockefeller as the centerpiece of a luxury Caribbean resort complex. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the most highly respected designers of the 20th century; Carambola opened in 1966 to rave reviews and was considered by the master designer himself to be one of his finest courses. Accommodations with package are located on inside the Carambola complex.

Mahogany Run, St. Thomas, Mahogany Run is a sporty course designed by George and Tom Fazio with small greens and tight fairways. Mahogany Run features three of the most spectacular ocean front holes in the world. The 13th and 14th and 15th holes at Mahogany Run known as the Devils Triangle are simply spectacular and make the course worth traveling from anywhere to play. The greens underwent renovations in 2002 and feature seashore paspalum grass.

Cap Juluca, Anguilla, this 7,063 yards championship course was designed by Greg Norman and first opened in 2006. Located just a few minutes’ drive from Cap Juluca, it offers dramatic elevation changes, water features on 13 holes and one of the finest Caribbean golf experiences. In planning the course, significant environmental efforts were undertaken to preserve and to enhance the island’s natural habitats. Most significant was the renewal of Merrywing Salt Pond, an island landmark. Featured predominantly in the course, the pond’s water has been reinvigorated, giving rebirth to its natural organisms. New flushing channels permit sea water to flow out of the pond during high tide.
